Pound Cake

This classic, rich, and buttery cake has a dense yet soft texture. Made with simple ingredients—butter, sugar, eggs, and flour—it boasts a deliciously moist crumb with a subtle sweetness.
Perfect as a base cake for decorating on special occasions!
Servings: 1 8 inch cake

Ingredients
  

  • 350 grams Butter
  • 350 grams Sugar
  • 7 Medium Eggs (50 - 55 grams per unit)
  • 350 grams All-purpose flour
  • 9 grams Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt - refined
  • 50 ml Milk or juice (any flavor)
  • 3 tbsp Vanilla Extract
Makes: 8inch round

Equipment

  • Electric mixer, Mixing bowl, Silicone spatula, Sifter, Prepared cake pan / Cupcake mold & Liners

Method
 

  1. Baking Instructions 🍰✨
    1️⃣ Preheat the oven – 300°F (150°C) | Baking time: Approx. 55 minutes in an 8-inch cake pan.
    2️⃣ Prepare the mold –  Line a cake pan with parchment paper.
    3️⃣ Cream the butter and sugar – Beat them together until smooth and creamy.
    4️⃣ Incorporate the eggs – Add them one at a time, beating at medium speed until fully combined.
    5️⃣ Mix in the flour – Reduce the mixer speed to low, add the sifted dry ingredients along with the milk/juice, and mix for only 30 seconds until just combined.
    6️⃣ Bake – Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    💡 Tip: Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy! 🎂

Notes

*The all purpose flour and the baking powder can be replacedfor Self-Rising flour.
🧁Cupcakes:
You can also use this recipe to make cupcakes! Keep in mind that for every 150 grams of each ingredient, you'll get one dozen cupcakes.
❄️Storage Instructions:
It is not recommended to refrigerate this cake, as it tends to harden in the fridge. Instead, any leftovers should be sliced, individually wrapped in plastic wrap, and stored in an airtight container in the freezer.
To enjoy, simply thaw the portions at room temperature before serving. 🍰
